Shoes for Windows provides an installer like many other installers. You do not have to use the default location to store it in if you don’t like Program Files. The installer will create two exe’s: shoes.exe and cshoes.exe and it will update the PATH environment variable to include the location. BEWARE: I believe it handles large PATHs correctly but make a backup first if that’s a concern for you.
‘cshoes.exe’ is the one to use from the command line.
